A Morning Laugh

Isn't this hilarious!
He has worn the goggles all morning (which has been a hoot in itself), but then he went downstairs to get the vacuum. I just love all that cuteness!

Spring Soccer

It certainly didn't feel like spring. It was cold and very windy; we were freezing! But that didn't stop Jonathan
from playing his best game of the season!!

He really seemed to be enjoying the game!

He scored a goal, and it was awesome! His teammate said, "Did you see all the legs that ball went through?" There really were at least five people in front of the goal. I didn't think there was any way it was getting in, but it sailed right under all of them! Beautiful shot!

One of the things I love most about soccer is the sportsmanship award they hand out after each game. One person from each team gets one. On the way to the game, he was talking about really wanting to get it that day. He played so well, and he truly did exhibit good sportsmanship!

Look at that smile! He was SO excited!!
(I'm not sure if Andrew wanted his Capri Sun or his medal!)
Way to go Jonathan! We are so proud of you!!

The Lake

We spent the last two days of Spring Break at the lake with family. The weather was beautiful on Thursday, so we headed to the park.
Grayson is all smiles!

I love to watch Lauren with the "little guys"!

This was Andrew's first time on a see saw. He wasn't quite sure what to think at first.

I think it was my mom's idea to let the little ones try it together. It was so cute! They weigh about the same amount, so they balanced it perfectly! After a few minutes, they started to push off with their feet. Fun!!

More smiles!
I know my sister will not be happy about the backside shot, but this picture is too cute not to share!

This girl loves her Aunt Tammy and Grammy!

Love the tongue!

Boys love rocks!

And sticks!

He is so proud of himself for throwing a rock in the lake.
Such joy!

How close can I get without getting wet?
I LOVE this picture because it really captures Grayson's personality. He loves to get dirty!

His feet are wet, and he is all smiles!! And that water was COLD!

Grammy with her Zavaglia babies!

Grayson and Jonathan just chillin' before bed. These two are big buddies!

We had lots of fun at the lake. We missed Grandpa at the park, but he was working hard! Rich is going to be able to cook some good meals in the new smoker! (I should have taken a picture!)

After the park, my mom and sister took Lauren and Jonathan to see Hop. They all thought it was cute!

When is Hop movie in theaters
It was cold and gloomy on Friday, and Grandpa had to go home for work, so we decided to take the kids to an indoor playground/arcade. Much to our surprise it didn't open until 4:30 (I  guess not everyone was on Spring Break. Ha!), so we decided to see another movie!

We all loved it! It was Grayson's first movie and he did GREAT! Thank you Grammy for treating us to a movie, including popcorn and candy!!

We had a lot of fun together! We are looking forward to summer!

Let's Celebrate

Sophie's birthday celebration was just getting started with the candle in her muffin!

Sophie's sweet mom, Stephanie, invited all of us over for a delicious lunch - a variety of sandwiches along with fresh strawberries, pineapple, and grapes. It looked so delicious!
First things first though...the PRESENTS! Sophie had seen our present for her earlier in the morning, and she could hardly contain her excitement! Thanks Olivia for all the great ideas!
She opened lots of presents, but saved a few to open later with her daddy. Sweet girl!
After our delicious lunch, Stephanie treated us to an afternoon at the indoor pool!
Jonathan was tossing balls into the water buckets, and Andrew couldn't wait for them to fall!

Jonathan is trying out Sophie's new water shooter. Look at that face!
This little cutie LOVED the fountains! When he sees these pictures he says, "Me, back, water!"

There is fun for everyone! The older kids loved these water buckets and the waterslide.
He also had fun running through the fountain behind him! The older kids were sweet to do it with him!

Loved the water torpedoes!
Jonathan and Sophie squirting each other.
We saved the best for last - chocolate cake with chocolate icing! We invited all of the neighbors to come enjoy cake and ice cream with us! Olivia and Sophie stay with us one day a week after school, so they are really part of our neighborhood!
I love to watch her blow out candles - she really takes her time and thinks about her wish! Isn't that a cute cake? I love the green and pink polka dots!
She REALLY wanted the center piece of the cake. It was huge! Only on your birthday, right?! And she did eat all of the icing- I even cut the cake in half so she could get to the icing in the middle!

What a great birthday! Thanks for letting us celebrate with you!

More Sleepover Fun

On Tuesday, Olivia and Sophie came over to play. It was a low key day for everyone - Lauren and Jonathan were exhausted from the day before, as were the girls (they had spent the day at gymnastics camp!)

They decided it would be fun to build forts in the living room!
I think every blanket, pillow, and chair in the house was in the living room!
Lauren and Olivia were using the computer as their TV. They also enjoyed doing crafts!

Jonathan and Sophie built their fort so that they could see the television from inside of it. They also enjoyed looking at books!

And of course, Andrew had to have a fort! Isn't he cute peeking out the window?!

The play date turned into a sleepover, and the kids made beds in their forts. They watched Alvin and the Chipmunks while munching on popcorn. Sophie was the first to fall asleep and Jonathan was so sweet. He said, "I am going to put a blanket over Sophie so she doesn't get cold." They are such sweet friends. Sophie is so petite, but she is such a little tomboy!

The next day was actually Sophie's 7th birthday, so we surprised her with a candle in her cinnamon crumb muffin! Jonathan brought it to her, and she was so excited!!
She was very careful about making her wish!
Jonathan lit the candle seven more times - once for each year, and one to grow on!
Happy 7th Birthday, Sophie!
